Analysis of size and shape has always figured largely in interpretations of multivariate analyses of measurements on organisms, although on premises that are not always unchallengeable. Morphometrics is an active research area and there are new methods proposed to address the limitations of methods introduced in this literature. New methods, in particular those based on the study of landmarks, have made it easier to parameterize shape in this way, to visualize shape change and test hypotheses statistically. This book will be of interest for students, practitioners,as well as researchers.
